Hey all,
Well I finally bought myself a camcorder and an HD one at that. Canon HV20, one of the best ones out there for amateurs like me and I’ll be sure to post some vids of life in China right here. Not sure if I’ll use YouTube (currently blocked in China), Viddler or just add a widget to upload them directly to my own server.
Pictures and video each have their pluses, but neither can ever really capture what it’s like to live or travel in China. I’ll try to include both, when and where they fit the topic. I can’t promise video or pictures for every post, since I want them to come naturally. When I find a good shot, I’ll write a post for it. Otherwise, you’ll just get text.
I’m very excited about video.

Great to see YouTube was unblocked by the Great Firewall of China around November 1st. An early birthday present for me? Or a special Halloween gift to all the foreigners and locals who crave our video. We’ll probably never know.
